Potentiometer

Potentiometer (Variable Resistor) is a passive electronic component with mechanically adjustable resistance. It changes the resistance length connected to the circuit via a sliding contact, enabling voltage division, current limiting and signal adjustment. Common types include rotary, linear slide and trimmer potentiometers, with materials such as carbon film, wirewound and conductive plastic. Widely used in consumer electronics, industrial equipment, automotive electronics and other fields, key parameters include nominal resistance, resistance taper, rated power and accuracy grade.
